Duty Assignment:
Morning duty consists of going to the Navigators classroom. That is the special needs program at Sunrise Point. I was a part of their morning meeting and helping the students where it's needed. I loved being able to go and see how her classroom worked; it was a very flexible room as far as seating and having students be social with other peers. Overall, this program and teachers was such an amazing school setting to observe, and, even though I don't know officially if I want to teach in Elementary Education, I really enjoy being at this school every Monday Morning.
Observation #2:
In my second observation, I am observing Mrs. Duggan's 5th grade classroom. I get to see their "family meetings" every morning. They sit at the front of the room and for example they will talk about their evening before and what they did. Every student will share, and of course they would ask me the questions as well. After the family meeting, they would switch over to math. Mrs. Duggan will sometimes assign me to specific students to work with who struggle with reading or working alone, or I will walk around the classroom and help any students who have questions over assignments. Mrs. Duggan has helped guide me closer to what grade and how I want to teach. I really did learn how much goes into being a teacher in this observation, and I'm very thankful for the experience.

Observation #1:
For My first observation, I was in Mrs. LaHues 8th grade classroom. She teaches English Language Arts. I am interested in teaching English if I switch over to teaching general education. Dr Fry put me at the middle school since I am not interested in teaching middle school grades. I am glad she did that to me because I realized that middle school is a grade age level to teach. While I was there I didn't get to teach or help, it was more of observing. I am very glad I got to see what middle school was like on a teachers perspective.
